Gilmore For Kids

Alpin HongThis is always a favorite during each Festival. Alpin Hong will be featured in the Gilmore For Kids program titled "The Ultimate Special Effect." This will be an exciting, interactive time for children of all ages.

• Children attend free and must be accompanied by an adult (Kids, invite your grandparents, aunts/uncles, even your parents!)

• Adults are $5 each. Your children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews will love you for taking them to this.

• Tickets available at the door—so just show up!

• Eight afternoon or evening concerts along with several in-school presentations. Click here for a listing of all eight concerts.

Elder Hostel

LODGING: Holiday Inn West - newly renovated

Now in its fourth Festival, The Gilmore Elderhostel has proven to be very popular. Seniors explore the music and composers with music mentor Daniel Jacobson (Western Michigan University professor), attend performances and meet Festival artists.

Explore the Festival site to learn more about concerts occuring during the Elderhostel time frame as well as throughout the entire Festival.

Pre-Concert Lectures

Several concerts at Chenery, Dalton and Stetson have pre-concert lectures available free to ticket-holders. These concerts are presented one hour before the concert and provide helpful insights into the works and composers on that concert's program. These lectures will enhance your musical experience.
