About this Event
A performance including William Duckworth’s legendary Time Curve Preludes, Book 1 (written in 1978). Incorporating everything from hypnotic trance music to Messiaen-like birdsong, the Time Curve Preludes explore in music the distinction between space and time so important in modern physics. Music from this same decade by Aaron Copland and Philip Glass will give a context for Duckworth’s extraordinary sounds.
