About this Event

Festival Encore presentation in collaboration with Fontana Chamber Arts.

We just couldn't resist adding this concert as an encore to the Festival. This mind-blowing bevy of super-talented young musicians joins the eminent Mitsuko Uchida for an evening of unforgettable music.

This stunning program will be performed only four times in North America—including Carnegie Hall and here!

Mitsuko Uchida is a founding Trustee of the Borletti-Buitoni Trust (BBT). The other artists appearing in tonight’s concert have all received BBT Awards during the last five years.

The BBT was established in 2002 to help young concert artists, in as flexible and innovative way as possible, to develop and sustain burgeoning international careers.

The Trust recognises that successful young artists need continued support, not only in financial terms but also advice, help and direction.

BBT works in partnership with managers, concert promoters, broadcasters, publishers and recording companies. The Trust endeavours to nurture selected musicians by encouraging their musical growth and aims to provide an extended platform of opportunities which will help gain them greater public recognition.

Since 2003, the Trust has awarded 50 artists and ensembles from 21 countries. For more about the Trust and its Award and Fellowship Winners go to www.bbtrust.com.

This presentation is supported by the Performing Arts Fund, a program of Arts Midwest funded by the National Endowment for the Arts with additional contributions from General Mills Foundation, Land O'Lakes Foundation, and Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs.
